"pop" is a superset of "mail"... I ran "mkserv pop" and it did set
SENDMAIL=true, etc. As for the other complaints:
Hmmm.. how about NEWMAILCF? I remember this being one of the variables
to change as well. I don't see this in the config file.
The sendmail.cf file is actually capable of POP service. However, it expects
mail to be addressed to user@machine.POP.
We did tell you this in person as well but for the record all the
moira entries specify deliveries to user@po.LOCAL. Perhaps mkserv pop
can place a sendmail.cf suitable for the post office servers. However
yes, we did receive the warning message to check the .cf file.
