*What were you trying to do?
- seeing what would happen if I tried to specify a random account
number to lpr
*What's wrong:
lpr -Phero -a12345 .cshrc
didn't say that I'm not authorized to charge to that account, or tell
me that charging to an account doesn't work yet.
Then I tried to check to see if I (rather than some account number) had
been charged. When I tried to do
lpquota -Phero -l
I got:
lpquota: Unauthorized to make request. Permission denied.
However, lpquota -Phero without the -l gave me:
Username : carla@ATHENA.MIT.EDU
Service : athena
Usage: $19.60 Limit: $27.10
Last bill: $0.00 Ytd billed: $0.00
Printing is allowed
I then tried getting my root tickets and checking it that way (lpquota
-Phero -l carla), and that worked okay, except that the most recent
information reported for me is from July 30th.

Also, it says that I printed on calvin, on a day when
I wasn't here. I hardly ever use calvin, especially when I'm not
logged in.
*What should have happened:
- specifying an account number should tell you if it isn't working
or if you can't charge to a certain account
- the logs should be up-to-date and accurate

Thanks!!!

(I'm sorry to be such a pain about all this, but Aida and I are the
ones that are going to be handling lots of confused, angry users....)
