What were you trying to do?
Get credentials files from moira. (Actually, I was
doing this on a 7.0 server, but the bug still exists
in 7.1).
What's wrong:
Running mkserv nfs and setting SMSUPDATE to true in
rc.conf is not sufficient. The nfs update script depends
on the tar program.
What should have happened:
There should be mkserv SMSUPDATE that copies
/usr/etc/update_server and /bin/tar local and sets
SMSUPDATE (why isn't this called MOIRAUPDATE? :-) ) to
true in /etc/rc.conf. I suggested this before but
didn't include the necessity of having tar local. We'll
see after tonight's update whether anything else needs
to be local that isn't already. :-)
