"rsh.ucb machinenname" uses rlogin, not rlogin.ucb

If I give the command "rsh.ucb machine-without-kerberos" (to avoid
timeouts, etc, since I *know* the machine hasn't got kerberos yet) I
get
rlogin: Kerberos rcmd failed: rcmd protocol failure.
trying normal rlogin (/usr/ucb/rlogin.ucb)
Why didn't it just use rlogin.ucb to begin with?
