What's wrong:
(not really a bug, but what I'd consider a misfeature)
It doesn't print out the plan info. What good is a .plan if no one
can read it?
It does print out when finger foobar, but then you need to be on the
same machine. That is, I believe, rather restricted.
What should have happened:
I think there should be some way for people to read my .plan file when
they're looking for me. I know finger foobar@fenchurch will do
the right thing. Why can't finger@athena?
Please consult with Project Athena's consultants about things like
this before you report them to bugs. They can explain to you why
people cannot read your .plan file by default, and they can explain
how people can read your .plan file by fingering you (they have to
attach your home directory first).
Basically, this is a known problem, it is not considered a bug, and it
is not going to get fixed. Our consultants can explain why.
