Thanks, I "created /etc/nocreate". It seems inconsistent that
some things in rc.conf are checked dynamically at activate or
even login time and some are not. This suggests a rethinking
of the scheme.
1. Nothing in rc.conf is checked at login time.
2. The only thing checked at activate time is RVDCLIENT, which is
checked to determine whether or not to attach the system packs. I
don't see that as a problem at all.
3. Nothing is checked at deactivate time.
If there's something specific that you think is a problem here, please
let me know what it is, because I don't see any problem.
