I knew about this bug.  It is fixed in the qrpc library that I
based heavily on the rkinit protocol.  Basically, the client
just exits on an error figuring that since the server will time
out in 60 seconds anyway, there's no need to inform it of the
error.  In libqrpc, if either side exits with an error (using
the libraries routines), a message is sent to the other side
of the connection indicating this...

It would be very easy to fix this bug, but I don't think it's
really worth it.  Do you?  If so, I could just steal code from
qrpc....
