when I remove those statements from my .cshrc.mine file,
and I try and invoke EZ from a new window, it fails
with a 'command not known' error.
Try it again. Your message reporing this problem came from a
workstation which had not yet been updated to release 7.0, and by this
point all workstations should be upgraded to release 7.0, so you
shouldn't have any more problems.
You can tell if a workstation is a 7.0 workstation by noticing the
first line that gets printed in the console window when you log in --
it should say "Version 7.0F" if it's been updated.
