   Sorry to mess up the first day of the new release, but the -r (or -rv)
   swtich, when used with xterm does not reverse the display, although the
   menu option is checked as if it is.

I'm afraid you'll have to be a bit more specific than this, because
both "xterm -r" and "xterm -rv" work just fine for me.

The only possible explanation for your problem that I can think of is
that you set foreground and background explicitly in your .Xresources.
Note that if you do this, -r and -rv are *not* supposed to work --
they are only supposed to have an effect when either foreground or
background has been set (and they only affect the colors that were not
set explicitly).

I can't check if this is the case in your .Xresources file, because
your .Xresources file isn't world-readable.  I can't check what else
may be the problem, because none of your dot files are world-readable.

If you don't set background and foreground explicitly, please make
your dotfiles readable and let me know by sending mail to bugs or to
me, and I'll look into it further.
