Why am I now having a problem with xhosting to my prof. machine.
here's the error:
athena% xhost iona
iona being added to access control list
xhost: must be on local machine to add or remove hosts.

Hello!
That's a weird error. You're doing the 'xhost' from m11-113-5
and not from someplace else that you're rlogged into?
Also, what does 'where xhost' return?

Are you sure that window is on m11-113-5 and not on a remote
machine?
What does 'hostname' return?

Can you make your dotfiles readable? (the ones where you do your
startup xhosting...)

I see some problems in your .cshrc.mine, probably not related, though.
Just being picky, but you might want to put all your aliases in your
.cshrc.mine, and all of your attaches in your .environment.

There's a space between /mit/sipb/$ and {hosttype}bin. You should remove that.

the console gave me the same message I get when I try to xhost
now. Are you able to xhost iona(or maya)

Yes, I can xhost both without problems, and from different
machines. How many times have you gotten this error message?

I don't know... it might be something with the terminal, as far
as I can see. You might want to send a bug report with 'sendbug'
specifying what the problem is. I don't know why it should do that.
