Emacs asked me to report this.
I tried to edit a file with this command:
emacs -q filename
I got a *scratch* buffer with this in the minibuffer:
Invalid function: (#<EMACS BUG: ILLEGAL DATATYPE (#o145) Save your buffers immediately and please report this bug> .
When I quit, I found the message that /site was full.
This machine uses the testers AFS packs. I suspect the cause of the
failure was that afs filled the site partition while reading the file,
and the emacs text was corrupted. The kernel should have detected the
read error and retried.
