System name: laika
Type and version:	CVAXSTAR 7.0F
Display type: SM

What were you trying to do?

logging in

What's wrong:

Nothing really "went wrong" it's just that I noticed some oddities, as
follows:

When I came up to my workstation it was in the process of scrolling
some text off the screen (it was in toehold) that said something like

 /etc/athena/deactivate ???????? core dumped

(the ?????? are some gibberish I don't rememberm, it scrolled off too fast)

Then while I was logging in, I got the following messages on my console:

10:46 Jun 13 10:46:58 laika xlogin: Interrupted system call
10:46 Jun 13 10:46:58 laika xlogin: File /etc/gtmp left lying around when it
should not have been.

These may be completely unrelated, I don't know, but I thought I'd
report them. Everything else seems to have gone normally, and so far
my workstation is behaving just fine, so it's not fatal or anything.
I have found the core file (I think, at any rate, it has the right
time on it) and will save it just in case anybody's interested.

What should have happened:
I shouldn't have gotten these messages...
