Nope, that isn't the right fix. You're over-writing the WMHints
that are created by the Xt Shell widget -- not a good idea.
The correct fix is to set the XtNinput resource for the Shell
widget to True before realizing the Shell. You can do this
either with XtSetValues immediately following the XtInitialize
call in x11term.c or by replacing the XtInitialize call with
an (X11R4) XtAppInitialize and giving an Arg list.
I notice that there's an x_refresh_shell() procedure down
a little farther...
