The fault is as much mine as marc's -- I was standing behind him
when he composed the message to "toad" and didn't stop him (I felt he
was better qualified to answer this particular question than anybody
on the qa staff, but you're right, I should have had him go through QA
rather than sending it directly).
As for ftp-bugs vs. bugs, it seems to me that the reason we have the
mailing list ftp-bugs pointing only to bugs is so that people can
report ftp-bugs to ftp-bugs, as the ftp documentation (and ftp itself,
when you run it) tells people to do, so I don't think that's such a
big deal. However, we can discuss that at a rel-eng meeting, or not
at all; it doesn't have to be discussed in bugs :-); it probably would
have been better for marc to mention bugs rather than ftp-bugs, but I
don't think it's a big deal.
