Hi, I'm reporting this for a user 'ren' who is having trouble with the
terminal
command from matlab. He wants to use matlab over modem using a local
tektronics emulator. Here's a transcript of the result of the terminal
command (yes, matlab_def was sourced):

If you get tired of setting the terminal type each time you invoke
MATLAB, you can have it done automatically. Execute HELP TERMINAL for
more information.
