1) The file of nulls is a result of the way ticket files are destroyed;
it is normal for this to appear [however, it's not particularly advised
to hard-link your ticket file!]
2) I cannot reproduce the ticket file locking problem on my 6.4R
vax...perhaps something else was simultaneously trying to read the
ticket file and locked it?
3) The bug with the segv is the same bug Ilham reported, and a fix is
awaiting auditing.
