What should have happened:
The server should have known who I was, after all I was connected to
someone, and not returned an incorrect instance error. The second time I
started the client it worked. Either the client is broken, in which case I
should hit myself, and sent a bad instance id (it shoudl have sent 0 since
it doesn't know anything on startup). If it did send 0, then there is a
problem on the server end (until "fixed", it should always accept 0 as a
copout).
