I was recently using C-Kermit to download a file to a friend's PC and
ran into a bug, which I'll let him describe:

******

When the production version of C-kermit is used to download a file to
release 3.00 of MS-Kermit with a packet size of 2000 bytes, the
default timeout (I think 8 seconds) at 2400 baud is long enough that
C-Kermit times out and resends each packet of data at least twice.
There are two work arounds for this:

	1) Reduce the packet size (we did so down to 500 bytes)

	2) Increase the C-Kermit timeout value to around 30 seconds.

This may be corrected in the latest version of C-Kermit, which is
available from watsun.cc.columbia.edu via anonymous ftp.

Any response should probably go to him, since he knows much more about
these things than I do.

Thanks,
