ftpd doesn't know that the "*" means "ask kerberos for the password field"...
Henry, what do you mean "ask kerberos for the password field"? Do you
mean try to get an initial ticket and see if it seems okay? (That is
not acceptable except for public workstations, for reasons that have
already been beaten to death.) Do you mean ftp should do kerberos
authentication itself? That would be fine.
