What were you trying to do?
Copy and paste from an xterm into an emacs window.
What's wrong:
Instead of taking the text that had just been copied from the xterm,
what was *previously* in the cut buffer of the emacs window was
pasted in instead. If I moved the cursor back into an xterm and
pasted, the correct text (what I had originally copied) was pasted,
but moving the cursor into the emacs window resulted again in the
pasting of text from a previous cut from the emacs window.
This is not the first time that this has happened to me. It happens
about once a week, at random, and always when I am copying and pasting
from an xterm into an emacs buffer.
Note: I have been an mwm user for a few months now, and don't
remember it happening when I used to use uwm. This may be a
coincidence, or it may be relevant.
What should have happened:
the text that was selected and turned reverse video should have been
the text that was pasted into my emacs window.
