This is BibTeX, C Version 0.98ib
The top-level auxiliary file: o.aux
The style file: apalike.bst
empty$ is an unknown function---line 99 of file apalike.bst
...lots of errors...
I did not encounter problems yesterday.
I have tried reverting those of the few changes which I remember.
Any guidelines on what to fiddle with?
(I havent modified apalike.bst .)

summary: failed on 2 rts, worked on 2 3100's.
Sounds like bug report.
Ill keep the files around incase anyone wants to regenerate.
