problem with 'show' on pVax

Hi there. I seem to be having a problem with my mail handler.
It refuses to set the pointer to the current message. I say "show 106", and
it does, but then I say "next", and read message 20. Typing "next" again
reveals the text from message 20 again, and typing just "show" at any point
gives me a "show: no cur message" error.
The only thing out of the ordinary that I can think of is that I am over quota
and my time limit has expired (in fact I am trying to reduce my disk usager
right now). Could this be it?
Using: /usr/new/mh/bin/show
I am on a VAXstation 3100 right now, and it is the first time
I've encountered this problem.
