olc -- using write?

At 10:12:57 I got a zephyr message from olc (saying that I
was connected to user "lapula"). At 10:13 I got a write message
saying that it was unable to contact lapula. At 10:13:17
I got a zephyr message about one of the other questions.
What should have happened:
It should have used zephyr for all the messages.
