The problem is that both lpr and pdpr use the environment variable
PRINTER to decide which printer to send to. So if I leave my PRINTER
environment variable set to "nil", then I can no longer use lpr. But
if I change it to "nil-gateway", the pdpr will not work.
Is there an environment setup I can use that will allow both lpr and
pdpr to work? If not, we need to get all of the third party software
that we can switched over to using palladium.
