Subject: m11-115-4 dying on me...
I tried logging in twice on m11-115-4, once with uwm and once under mwm (I run
my own .xsession, by the way.) In each case, the input focus got stuck in a
window (my input focus is always set to moving the mouse around, not clicking
or anything like that) in such a way that I could only type into that window,
and when I moved the mouse out of that window, I couldn't type anywhere.
The first time this happened, I was running 3 xterms, 2 emacses, xscreensaver,
and uwm.
The second time this happened, the `focus' was stuck in emacs, and I tried
creating a new xterm using M-x shell-command. This I did, and mwm switched to
window-positioning mode, which allowed me to move the mouse and place the
window, unsticking the focus. After a bit more work in emacs, it got stuck
again, so I tried creating another xterm, which promptly placed itself at
+0+0. Then, within emacs, I tried starting up mwm again (but it was already
running). Then I tried killing mwm, it died quickly, kicked the focus to the
xterm I had created (which wouldn't accept any input).
Both times, I ended up popping up the first xterm window menu (C-S-left
button), and having it kept up, with the focus stuck on it, and me unable to
select anything. I had to reboot (twice).
Any suggestions?
