i was running vi on drgonzo, my rt, with 6.3b. i wrote out the file (:w),
and got the error message "I/O error [ warning: <file's name> is incomplete]."
like a jerk, i relied on habit, and quit the session. the file, my .startup.X,
is now empty. i tried the write twice, with the same result.
since my .startup.X is on dice, i assume this i/o error came from nfs.
