Hi, I know this is a bit vague, but we haven't been able to pin
down the problem yet.  But, sometimes scribe will print the
radical symbol upside down.  For example, the file:

@device(postscript)
@libraryfile(Mathematics10)
@math[@sqrt(x)]

will sometimes print it out right side up, sometimes upside down.
I think it may have to do with the printers, but we've  seen no
correlation of complaints to printer used.  It could also have 
something to do with the RVD servers for the machine that the
file was scribed on. 

I don't know if this helps at all, but you can at least keep
an eye out for it.  Thanks.
