I wanted to lpr several files: dsc.* should expand to 15 files.
I did lpr -Pcalvin dsc.*
Then did lpq -Pcalvin and got:
HOBBES.MIT.EDU... "calvin" is actually a Palladium logical printer "calvin"
Service provider = ravs
LocalId Global Id Owner Job Title JobState
===============================================================================
3 ravs-622237369 belville dsc.0otl Active
3 ravs-622237372 belville dsc.0otl Pending
3 ravs-622237376 belville dsc.0otl Pending
i.e. 3 requests with the same localid and job title. So, I
lprm -Pcalvin ravs-622237372
and before I got my prompt back, I got the following zwrites telling me
"Your job (ravs-622237372) spooled for (calvin) has been cancelled."
"Your job, (dsc.0otl), on (calvin), was ABORTED;
(1) pages were printed, using the printer for (36) seconds"
"Your job (ravs-622237376) spooled for (calvin) has been cancelled."
"Your job (ravs-622237385) spooled for (calvin) has been cancelled."
"Your job (ravs-622237396) spooled for (calvin) has been cancelled."
And when the prompt comes back, lpq returns:

Now. In the time that it has taken me to enter the above, the printer
ran out of paper, lpq returns:

Point: The Job Title is for all of them the first filename, and the
LocalId is illogical (to me).
The files are printing, except for the 4 listed above.
Why does it remove 4 files when I did one lprm command?
WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN:
As with lpr on other printers, it should make one job for the whole
caboodle, so that lpq returns:
12th belville 2 dsc.0otl, dsc.1intro, dsc.21start ... 31804 bytes
And I only get one cover page, instead of 1 per file.
