Today I had a problem where people who got B11ZEPHYR as their zephyr
server could not reach me. I was labeled as hidden.
I, on NESKAYA had no problems.
When I told my hosts to find another server, I stopped receiving zephyr
messages on one of them. It got the messages after I killed and
restarted zwgc.
Here is what I did:
oglala (rt 6.3B) logged in overnight with me on-line to do an andrew
build.
lakota (pVAX 6.3B) logged out.
did zctl wg_shutdown on oglala and went home.
came in today, did wg_startup on oglala with expired tickets (by mistake)
did wg_shutdown, got tickets, did wg_startup. All seemed well.
logged in to lakota.
Got tired of seeing 4 copies of mail notifications.
did zctl wg_shutdown on oglala again.
(Enjoyed only getting one copy of mail noticies)
Later on, someone reported not being able to zwrite me.
I tried myself, and had someone in the watchbreaker zone (Barry Jaspen)
try me. Both succeeded.
Had Mark Rosenstein zwrite me from toto (pVAX 6.3B). Failed.
He had B11ZEPHYR as zephyr host. I had NESKAYA as zephyr host.
Reported to hotline that the zephyr hosts were out of sync.
Did zctl set exposure realm-visible on lakota. Still reported as hidden
or not logged in by toto. Reported TWICE by lakota:

(I attribute this to my doing an expose set from a different display from the one that my .startup.X had.)
Did zctl wg_startup on oglala. Notices coming from toto would appear ONLY on oglala.
Did zctl find_server on oglala. Zstat reported the old server as NESKAYA and the new as B11ZEPHYR. Zlocate of wdc from oglala said I was on Lakota on display unix:0.0 and on Oglala. Still no zgrams from toto made it to lakota.
Did zctl find_server on lakota. After that, zwrite wdc from lakota still displayed messages, but zwrite wdc from oglala would only show up on oglala.
Killed and restarted zwgc on lakota. Proper location info was displayed, and all zwrites to wdc showed up fine.
I'd be grateful to know what the current zephyr bug list is called, and to have this message forwarded to the appropriate people. I am also willing to beat on zephyr more if it will help.
