I am running xsaber 2.1 on a Microvax II with a parallax frame buffer and
color monitor. If I try to customize the font in any way (e.g., via the -font
command line option or via my .Xresources file), xsaber comes up with the
appropriate font, but starts spouting a series of X erros that begins with
Error code BadAlloc, insufficient resources for operation
and then continues with a stream of BadDrawables and BadGC errors. Specifying
the -monochrome option does not help although we can run xsaber with
customized fonts on our monochrome workstations. Running xsaber in color
with the server default fixed font also works. The only problem is that
the fixed font is illegible. There is no obvious shortage of resources
on my workstation. I regularly customize fonts in other applications without
problem.
Any help would be appreciated.
