Well, here we go.

1. Users previously had access to the variable "bindir" to select
between vax and rt binary paths. My guess is that somebody
either forgot about this or conciously decided to not provide
same to the users under 6.3B. This is a bug and not acceptible,
and furthermore was not documented in Cunningham's survival
guide (6.3 Session Configuration Files for Current Users) of
    9 August.

2. It no longer appears to be possible to include startup command
which require interactive input. As I maintain a root window
on the mailhub whenever I am logged in, I had included a kinit
statement in my old startup files to allow me to have a separate
ticket file for root instance tickets.

I moved this to the .startup.X file since I wanted to have this
happen just before I attempted to start the appropriate window
up. Since this all takes place in the pseudo console window now
instead of a login shell window, no typein is possible.

If I should do this somewhere else, I'd like to hear about that
too because nothing is suggested in the Cunningham document.

This seems to me to be a bug as well.

3. My workstation no longer deactivates properly. I logged out
yesterday and when I started up my workstation this morning,
all the filesystems and system packs were still attached.

    This is certainly a bug.

4. I didn't think it was possible to slow down my workstation more
than 6.3A did (after 6.2A) but this too has happened. I currently
have nothing happening here apart from the emacs I am writing
this message with and my load is hovering around .50-1.0 . Top
shows the Xqvss process eating up most of the machine. What
    gives here?

-Ron
