the "logout" window (that comes up when you click on the logout button)
gives the impression that a user has three options:
a) abort logout and continue the session
b) select "logout" and end the session
c) select nothing and have the session automagically terminated when
the counter reaches zero.
i tested situation c last night and this is not what happened. the
only thing it appears to have done is kill off my window manager.
i restarted uwm and found that i could not log out in any xterm as i
had been told i should be able to do; "Not login shell." no new logout
button is generated and my console window is already sprained because
it wasn't redrawn correctly after doing its screen saver thing.
this is very anti-social and could really mess up a naive user. the
functionality should definitely be changed so that it either doesn't
do the count down bit and forces the user to make a selection or terminates
the session cleanly.
