Hi John,
I've opened a Debian bug requesting that afs be added the EXCLUDE_FSTYPES
variable in /etc/deluser.conf by default, so hopefully this should be
addressed in the next Debian and Ubuntu releases.
If you find deluser --remove-all-files useful in the interim, you should
be able to add afs to that variable on your own systems.
