Hi Michelle,
Can you give us a bit more information about the problem? Does this happen every time you try to open Firefox? Does it happen on multiple machines? Can you try logging in without customizations (before entering your username and password, select "Login without customizations" from the "Sessions" button at the bottom of the login screen) and let us know if that fixes the problem?
Additionally, if you type "firefox" and hit Enter in your Terminal window, does it work? Does it display any error messages?
