Let me assure you that this has been a very common problem with Hal's
machine ever since he took 6.3B (he had previously been running 6.2A
without problems).  He has averaged about 6 kernel panics per day:
Reserved Operand, but unfortunately, there has been no dump as of yet,
nor any display of any PC address.  I had asked John to look into this
since I suspected that something in the plx code was tickling the
problem.  We were hoping to get more information prior to sending in a
bug report and this is what John has given us.
