Hi.
Thanks for the bug report. There are two separate bugs causing these
crashes; on Linux, the problem is that we are not creating gstreamer's
registry file in the current release, which causes the abort that you
observed. (I reproduced this on my HP machine; I believe that the
machines on which the problem was not reproducible must have
had this registry created somehow). The Solaris crash is due to a
bug in nautilus-media's audio-properties-view library, which is only
manifested on Suns. I have submitted patches addressing both of
these problems; these fixes will appear in an upcoming Athena
patch release.
