fs/locks.c:1799 kernel panic on Linux cluster machines

While walking around in the W20-575 cluster I saw five Linux machines had 
kernel panicked and hung, and two of them reported the error:

  kernel BUG at fs/locks.c:1799!
  invalid operand: 0000 [#1]

One of these, and the three other machines, had panicked at the "Cleaning 
up..." step; the fifth had panicked at the logon screen. (I rebooted these 
machines and they seem to be working fine for the moment.)
