A Google search revealed that rasmol apparently tries to use
X11 shared memory in this case, i.e. incorrectly assuming a
local connection (because $DISPLAY begins with "localhost:"),
resulting in the failure. If rasmol has an option (or an alternate
binary) which disables shared memory, the wrapper might
invoke this for an ssh session (e.g. when $SSH_CLIENT is set).
Otherwise, a workaround might be for the wrapper to change a
DISPLAY setting of "localhost:..." to "127.0.0.1:...".
