The user jhawk mentioned has his homedir on lethe.mit.edu (so is mine,
but not yours or jhawk's). I have reason to think lethe is somewhat
slower than our other file servers.
It's somewhat bigger than our other file servers, and has had continuing
RAID cache battery problems that we're in the process of debugging.
I don't think (from my own homedir being there) that performance is
unacceptable, but I suspect that write performance especially is a
little worse than to other file servers.
