The installer support for resizing NTFS partitions to make room for an
athena install doesn't properly parse the error status returned by
ntfsresize when it's run on a filesystem that wasn't shut down
completely, causing all sorts of mayhem while calculating disk geometry.

(This is mostly for the record; it's now in the queue to get fixed, but
not anytime too soon.)
