Hi.

I reproduced the problem -- if you run firefox in a terminal window,
you see a "corrupted double-linked list" error from glibc when this
occurs, so firefox is apparently trashing memory somewhere.

I found a similar-sounding bug report on bugzilla.mozilla.org
(336435), but its status is "unconfirmed" at this point.  I will try to
investigate further...
