I just wanted to point out that ps2epsi on /usr/sfw/bin does not perform as expected. It uses the shell script, that does not have the 'test -e' option available, thus always resulting in the response 'test: argument expected'.
I commented out the temporary file checking for my use - perhaps there is a clearner solution you know, and maybe you can get it up so that people working on their thesises wouldn't have to worry.
