Setting a valid PRINTER does make the Print Setup problem go away. This
is a bit unfortunate, though, since usually when I want to use Print
Setup, it's because the machine doesn't have a default printer, which is
why I want to go into the dialog to print to a file. This, however,
does work in Matlab version 6.5.1 when PRINTER is not set.
After some more experimentation, it seems like the print preview problem
is specific to scyther.mit.edu -- I'll try to capture the debug
information later. (For what it's worth, this also does work in Matlab
v6.5.1.)
