Are there plans to modify the default Athena workstation configuration
to suppress the appearance of sshd login failure messages in console windows?
e.g.:
18:29 Feb 15 18:29:12 bart-savagewood.mit.edu sshd[27645]: fatal:
Login denied: attempted login as magic from 211.100.17.206: You are
not allowed to log into this machine remotely
As I'm sure you know, they get very annoying, and are no longer
an isolated incident. They make using Athena machines kind of annoying
for a lot of users, I expect.
As you may be aware, these are no longer logged to the console as of
the athena 9.4.26 patch release that went out over spring break.
