Yes.  This is supposed to get dealt with in two different places, neither
of which is still working properly.  (There were also a few generations
of cluster hardware which didn't autoreport settings properly which had a
configuration force-installed which includes this.)

Yup.  See also /etc/athena/fix-xconfig, part of the public workstation
cleanup.

Thanks for the report and the patch.  It's not clear yet what we
ultimately want to do with all this, though.
