I'm very sorry, I've gotten behind on my inbox for the last couple of
weeks and these messages got lost.

My only suggestion is to boot the machine single-user and newfs the AFS
cache partition.  If that doesn't solve the problem, then the issue is
likely at the network layer, and I don't have a lot of expertise at
debugging that sort of issue.
