Java sometimes kills X.
On scyther.mit.edu (linux 9.4.18), I just ran "athrun sapgui saplogon" and
got logged out.
I've also had similar experiences with tmsim in the 6.004 locker.
Neither of these programs consistently causes the logout, however.
saplogon appears to use the java_v1.4.2_03 locker, and tmsim uses the
java_v.1.4.2_05 locker.
