Actually, you need ipw2200-firmware-2.2.1.noarch.rpm from
rhel-4-updates/RPMS/ipw2200-firmware-2.2-1.noarch.rpm
for the current kernel.  If you attempt to install an earlier one, you
get a dependency failure because the earlier one matches an earlier 
kernel.
