The error message said:
The Password Server is currently not available
Your request has been queued up and should be processed soon
To determine whether or not the request succeeded, run 'kinit'
in about 15 minutes and give it the new password you requested
It will tell you if the password was incorrect, in which case
you must run passwd again to get your new password
Request was successful

However, the "Request" wasn't actually successful.
(Well, the request might successfully get queued, but the
change hasn't taken effect). I'd say that error message is
confusing..
