(RT/PC) Version 6.3B: emacs doesn't know ispell-word

System type, version: (RT/PC) Version 6.3B
System name: achates
What's wrong:
In previous releases, emacs knew the symbol "ispell-word" upon
startup, or at least knew that it should load the "ispell" library
when that symbol was invoked. Consultants were therefore able to tell
users, "Type M-x ispell <RETURN> to load ispell into emacs."
Emacs (GNU Emacs 18.54.3 of Tue Jul 18 1989 on minos (berkeley-unix))
in 6.3B apparently no longer knows the ispell-word symbol.
What should have happened:
This is a gratuitous change that should not have been made. :-)
